Abstract

This article discusses preventive measures involving oral health interventions in a hospital setting through bedside oral hygiene performed under faculty supervision, with the aim of preventing complications in hospital beds, including ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). The reports are based on the practices of the Academic League of Hospital Dentistry (LAOH), and the activities were carried out in a hospital setting with the participation of dental students, under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Agda Leite, the league’s coordinator.
