Abstract

Pregnancy is a period in which the woman undergoes several physiological changes, which impose on health professionals the challenge of getting to know them and offering specialized care at this very important moment. Objective: To evaluate pregnant women's access to dental prenatal care in the city of Janaúba-MG from 2019 to 2022. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional descriptive study with a retrospective and quantitative approach, carried out through the collection of secondary data obtained in the Primary Care Information System (SISAB). Results: In 2019, the municipality of Janaúba reached the target of 60%, in 2020, there is a significant increase in the first four months compared to the last quarter of 2019, with a drop from from the second four-month period. In 2021, there is a continuity of limited access for pregnant women in the first four-month period, and a significant increase from the second four-month period. In 2022, there is a gradual increase in the access of pregnant women in the three evaluated four-month periods compared to the last three years reaching parameters greater than the agreed 60% Conclusion: The improvement in the percentage of the indicator over the evaluated period shows a positive impact on attracting pregnant women to dental appointments in Primary Care.
